My gear came with a Corel software suite. I installed it effortlessly on my HP laptop. Works fine. I especially like PSP x9 and Aftershot Pro 3. I had a choice between installing the 32 bit or 64 bit. Perhaps you had an OS conflict, OP.

Never had an experience such as the original OP, however I have always found Corel to be unstable. In fact, I recently had had enough of re-doing a project I uninstalled all Corel junk and went with CyberLink.

I recently upgraded from PaintShop Pro ultimate 2018 to the 2019 version along with several added programs and some other plugins i bought also. I have had no problems with them so far. It is a shame you had the situation you had. I went with PSP because I used it several years ago and knew nothing of PhotoShop. I might have gone with them if I had known that everyone else in the photography world uses the Adobe suites.

It will not work if you don't first save a restore point.

I have created a restore point many times before doing or installing a program on a computer . Then decided I didn't want any trace of that on my computer or a customers . Just to see system restore fail . I know it wont work if none are created .
