When watering the plants this morning, I spotted a couple of these guys. The first one was taken with the Lensbaby Sweet 35 optic with a 12mm extension tube on my D750, and the second one was taken with my Lumix FZ1000.
These little guys were a little less than 1/4" long, not counting their antenna.

well heck...i'm gonna go out and water my plants tomorrow morning and find me some bugs to shoot!
good job finding them and shooting some great shots of them, cathyann! love the colors too.

The thing is, Merry, I was scrutinizing the flowers because I was deadheading. Otherwise, I probably wouldn't have seen them. Thank you for the great comment!

Very nice, CathyAnn. I think they are an immature type of True Bug, need an expert to give us more on that. The double download shows some good detail.
