All I can say is WOW. I started going to EAA when they moved their Fly In to Oshkosh some 48 years ago. And except for some years in the 1980s and 1990s when I missed because of a conflicting family event I have probably been there over 100 times - I live about 25 miles from Wittman Field and so it was easy to leave work an hour or two early just to catch the air show in addition to all day Saturday and Sunday visits. One of my fondest memories is seeing the great radio commentator Paul Harvey when he spoke. I am not a pilot and my main reason for going was to take pictures. One year EAA even granted me a press pass. But of all the pictures that I took and others that I have seen I must say that yours are easily the best I have seen. I am looking forward to going thru your Flickr account and enjoying your other work. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you Hedge neighbor! I'm not a pilot either. I talked to a lot of people and learned a lot during the week. Not so much that I have a pilot bug brewing, but I am glad to learn you can navigate in your plane somewhat like I do when driving: just head in the right direction and follow the signs. The EAA's site as a link to images also on Flickr from the several excellent photographers there in official roles. Glad you enjoyed my contribution.

Thank you Tom. These are all Canon EOS 5DIII and a couple of EF lenses and Canon vIII extenders. The details are available from Flickr, just click the title URLs that launch the individual images from the host Flickr page.

Great set Paul. You have captured the feel of being there. Beautiful sharp images. I am guessing that you love your 100-400 lens. Others here have used that lens with great success.

Thank you Jan! In addition to the 100-400L II, all the images with lens also include a 1.4 extender. Glad you enjoyed.

Thank you saltysarge! At Oshkosh they had a few actual C47s from DDay. Some of them will be flown over to England again for next year's 75-year anniversary. I just posted another C47 in B&W in the photo gallery.
