After five years, my Samsung Galaxy S4 is dead. Looking for a replacement, I can get the new version for a minimum of $720, or I can get a TracFone Samsung Galaxy J3 Luna Pro for $60. Very easy choice. We've been using TracFone for several years, and it's great. My son has this phone, and it's been working fine. I'll get my new phone from Amazon on Wednesday, so I'll have to survive without a cell phone till then.

How long can one expect those new smart phones to last? I'm still using the old flip phone.
Listen to yourself.
750 dollars for a device you really can live without, plus God knows how much each month.
Fill your hands with your camera, instead of a phone
Wake up. Look around, instead of looking at a little sceen
If you think you are that impotant and can't miss calls, use the recorder on your home phone.
That money would go along ways toward some quality glass.
Everyone is taking about opiodoid addicition. That nothing compared to cell phones addicts.
I see cell junkies from 8-80. How many wrecks and deaths can be attibutated to cell phones.
Just say no.

If you are not some old worn out retired person a current smart phone is required.
I have clients who send drawings, photos and other data to me to review and respond to while I am out of the office. Also on job sites I can take a photo and send a text with it to an engineer to verify specs are being met. This is just a small part of the absolute need of a smart phone for those in the real world.

I recently bought the Moto G5s Plus for $300. Nice big screen.
Got rid of Verizon and went with Cricket for $30 per month.
So far so good.
How many people use their phones for work? I would bet American money, it's less than 20%.
In the real world I see people playing games, talking to thier spouse in the goercey store asking if they need milk.
In the real world I see people, so involved with their phones, they have forgotten social graces.
Look in any resturant, how many have their phones out, instead of engaging with thier dining partners.
In the real world, I see drivers distracted, while using their phones.
I the real world I see a billion, if not more a month idustry.
In the real world, I see the addicts who support it.
In the real world, thats just sad.

When I was still working, I couldn’t have done my job without a smart phone. Now that I’m retired, I still find it useful in many, many ways (too many to list). Yes, I do take photos with it, but mostly to document and the occasional shot when I don’t have a real camera handy. BTW, switching from Sprint to Consumer Cellular produced the same signal quality and range (they use Verizon’s towers and network), but cut my bill in half - highly recommended.

I use mine for work. I held out until I realized it was hurting me professionally not being connected. All I deal with are doing business on the phone now.
Big tablets, flip phones etc. Are so 20th century looking. Tablets are only used for building surveys and things needling a larger screen for marking the plans up and other things that require a large screen. But the phone is 90% of business and required
My condolences to you Jerry I know how entertainment one gets with the cell phone and when you lose to a malfunction in her old age prayers go out that your contacts Her archived someplace where you can and it asked for some good luck in your new one

I had Trac Phone for 5 years...It was ok. But I now have Consumer Cellular, and love it.
I hope you're not spending a vast amount of cash on your new phone, my faithful LG G4 started boot looping, so I bought a new Nokia 6.1 which cost less than £200, it takes great photographs plus all the other functions are excellent. I did consider two others as well, the Motorola G6 and the Honor 9 which both sell at a similar price.
My wife has a Motorola G6 which she uses for business and she loves it.
Sod's law is that my old LG G4 is now working perfectly !!
Pretty sure CC uses att network. It's a GSM service. Verizon is CDMA.
I have CC also. Love it.
I'm looking for a camera that makes phone calls!!!!!!
