Here is the door to "Annie's Place", the self-catering unit we rent when on Orkney. It is located in the Old Manse (the former manse of the next door St. Magnus church) and I just found out that the owners are beginning a project of removing the harl surface material to expose the original stonework in an effort to restore the building to its 1761 appearance.

I see you in Door #1, dane!!! Doors - not my favorite music group, but one of my favorite subjects. These were taken this week. They were on a fish pier and I think these go into the coolers. The sign on the white door says "Eat Lobster - wear - Grundens" Grundens are the "rubberized" overalls fishermen wear.

The back door of the Wamphray parish church - the lintel is a Pictish symbol stone dating from 600-800 AD.

These doors are in an Australian exhibit at the zoo, are an entrance to a homestead.
