Here is the door to "Annie's Place", the self-catering unit we rent when on Orkney. It is located in the Old Manse (the former manse of the next door St. Magnus church) and I just found out that the owners are beginning a project of removing the harl surface material to expose the original stonework in an effort to restore the building to its 1761 appearance.

The sign on the white door says "Eat Lobster - wear - Grundens" Grundens are the "rubberized" overalls fishermen wear.
