I shoot weddings with more that one photographer. Is there a way to tag photos with initials while importing so I can tell which photographer shot them?

Won't your camera data exif that includes your name, be on the image?

Some cameras allow you to customize EXIF table data. You may need a utility to do that. I seem to recall doing it with Canons. You could also set custom file name/number schemes.

Yes, or you can have the other photographer setup the copyrite with their name on them. Or in LR you can do a name change while importing the images. There are many variable options for name changes like just adding initials to the original name or a complete name change etc.

You and the other photographer can do it with the exif data.
The Import process as a place for putting them into collections and/or adding keywords. Lightroom also can filter by camera model if your shooters have different models. Beyond that is filtering by camera serial number.
you can use 'key' words while importing into LR

Yes, set up an import preset that does that for you. You can either pull it from the metadata, add it as a keyword, or just rename the file to include your initials. I like the last way because it is really easy to do, searchable and if you don't have Lightroom or some other program that can search through exif/metadata, you can search using Windows Explorer or Finder keying in your initials in search field.

Yes Lightroom has a tagging feature.. also you can color code the frame or any number of ways.

Not necessarily at import but immediately after.
Yes, real easy if you put them in separate folders. Dir structure:
> jones wedding
>> My photos
>> Johns photos
Even if you put them in the same folder you can add a keyword immediately after importing. Add the keyword(s) to one and sync it. As someone else noted you can search on his camera/lens/etc.
You can put them in a different collection.
Depending on your camera, if you go to the settings and find the one that has information on how to record the files, you can change the file name tag there. For instance, my Canon out of the box tags my pictures with A4A followed by the picture number so A4A0525 as an example. The other thing you can do is create a new folder in the camera. For instance, again out of the box, the pictures you take will show up in a folder such as DCIM/101. In this case, the photos are still named with the A4Axxxx, you cannot mix them with someone else's photos and sort them by user.
One thing I have not checked in the first method is whether the file number goes back to zero if you change the A4A to something else. I would not want my file numbers to restart at zero. I want to know how many clicks I have, which is important for resale.

I think that's a pretty standard feature on most cameras.

You can name the files with initials or anything. I have two cameras that I use mainly. One is a Nikon D850 and the other is a D500. I set the camera to name the files SK8_XXXX.NEF for the 850 and SK5_XXXX.NEF for the D500. The SK is my initials. You should be able to do the same kind of thing.
