Not normally a bird photographer, and these probably show it.
#1 - Blue Bird photographed in Yellowstone NP near Old Faithful
#2 - Yellow Headed Black Bird photographed @ Henderson Bird Preserve, NV
#3 - Eagle's nest photographed in Yellowstone Grand Canyon - Note: See eagle soaring in upper right corner of image.
Comments and critique welcome.
P.S. Apologizes for watermarks - however I recently had a photo "misappropriated" by someone I know and used on their political site with whose beliefs I disagree with. Guess I need to be more careful in the future. Just a heads up to everyone, thieves are out there and it just might be someone you know.
The simplicity of #1 is stunning. I'm 99% sure the bird in #3 is an osprey (stripe along head, white belly), but the nest is bizarre! Neither eagles nor ospreys use a small "opening" if that is what I see - that black hole. I hope someone can clarify! (Of course the perspective is all skewed too, with the bird appearing tiny - or miles away - while the nest is huge.)
Some others have said Osprey also, although when I was there I was told it was an eagle nest with young chick in the nest. The nest was/is very large. In other pictures the wings are solid brown and the tail is white - making be believe it is an eagle, but too far off to verify. Thanks for your input, much appreciated.
