Suddenly 'Rule of thirds' is on my computer screen permanantely.

I was investigating some new music programs and after closing them out I noticed this grid. Rebooted the computer and looked at 'Task Manager' but saw nothing to cause this.
Any computer gurus out there give me some suggestions... or even which site to pose my problem to.

Sorry Admin, it's not the ads but the grid... like a tic-tac-toe grid that is persistent as soon as I boot my computer and in any screen no matter what program I'm using.
