American hunter's images of her black giraffe 'trophy kill' spark outrage
Fox News Sun, Jul 1 1:12 PM EDT

Photos of a female hunter from Kentucky proudly showing off the results of her “dream hunt” – a dead black giraffe in South Africa – have ignited a firestorm across social media after being picked up by a local African media outlet. “White American savage who is partly a Neanderthal comes to Africa and shoot down a very rare black giraffe courtesy of South Africa stupidity,” read the June 2018 tweet, posted by Africa Digest. “Her name is Tess Thompson Talley. The controversial images, which were posted by a Kentucky woman identified as Tess Thompson Talley a year ago, show her standing proudly beside a dead giraffe bull along with the caption: “Prayers for my once in a lifetime dream hunt came true today! ...

I can understand that...but for someone to take such joy from killing a magnificent old animal like this is just pathetic. In parts of South Africa they are wrestling with the problem of elephant overpopulation. These animals have no effective predators and there is no hunting. Large areas now have such reductions in trees that other species are in decline and the elephants themselves may start suffering starvation. They are too large and difficult to sedate and move, and anything done has to be done to the entire family unit or else they get dangerously stressed. So one of the suggested resolutions sadly is to start a culling program - but if done it will be not of individuals but of family units of 10-20 animals. If done, hopefully it will NOT be done to feed someone's fantasies and delusions of potency.

The whole darned world is going , rephrase....has gone crazy...to much, way to much political correctness...etc..if this same thing happened 30 yrs ago it wouldn't have mattered. As the article stated, it was killing younger bulls, and the younger bulls are needed for breeding. Better to worry about the eco system in Yellowstone.

The reason we are where we are today is because shit like this WAS done 30 years ago. The thought process on this just like that on gasoline, hard woods in Michigan, the American Bison, etc .. was.. There is an unlimited supply, we'll never run out of them... It's NOT political correctness that's the problem is selfishness.. I'm going to do it because I want to and no one is going to stop me because I have money.

AND ... we are returning to those days.... days of pollution without consideration for consequences, days of companies ile Nestles (a NON-American Company) being allowed to suck millions of gallons of out water out of our ground for a few hundred $ a year and selling it back to us for a buck (or more) a bottle .. that's just good business practice ... Write anything you don't like off as P.C..

I can understand hunting for food, but killing and calling it 'sport', just goes beyond the limits of my comprehension.
