A few days ago there was some chatter on this forum regarding the pending release of a new bridge camera that would hold f2.8 thru the entire zoom. Would anyone be able to recall the model?
Thanks
I was seriously considering it until I found out the price was around 800.00 bucks!! Out of my league

If you find the cost of the new Panasonic FZ200 prohibitive and you want to shoot F2.8 through the zoom range then hunt out the Panasonic DMC FZ20. Ok it is only 5MP and 12 times optical zoom but the lens is superb. Its about the same size as a Panasonic G series camera and it has all the settings you will ever need. I have had some great results with this camera including a hand held shot of the moon. bearing in mind it is only 5MP I can increase the magnification on screen 4 times without pixilation, not bad at all. This camera can be picked up second user on ebay for around £100. Brian

Not a bad price considering what you're getting as far as features. Also outside my budget right now.
Have you priced a 600mm 2.8. Probably not because they probably don't make one for a DSLR. I might be wrong on that. I have seen 600 f/4's.
