In China, the city of Chengdu is known as "Panda Central" and there is a large park dedicated to these magnificent creatures. If you ride a bus about an hour and a half up into the mountains, there the official government reserve and research center dedicated to the preservation of Pandas. Many don't know this, but the Chinese government owns all of the world's pandas. Every last one of them. They rent them out to zoos around the world at $1 million dollars a year per Panda with a minimum ten year obligation. In December, 2017 my son Johnny and I spent a week caring for Pandas and getting to hand feed one is something that I will never forget. Literally one of the highlights of my life.
Near the Panda reserve is a zoo, and it's not really like anything I have ever seen. Most of the animals, including the Lemurs, roam freely. I am including one of the shots of me with my friend, the Tibetan Monkey. The Lemur also jumped onto me, which at first was a little scary, but after I realized he meant no harm, was pretty exciting as well. He jumped off onto a branch and sat staring at me, which allowed me to make this shot of his intense gaze.

Your first photo is so compelling. Really enjoy your info about China. Such a different world.
The 2nd one isn't really meant to be compelling. Just a photo of me with my new found friend. :-)
The second photo is very engaging; the way the two of you ae looking at each other.

We're actually trying to decide if we are related... :-)
Really neat..! I think he's asking, "Where's my banana?"..."Do you have my banana?"
