I have a Vanguard sling bag which I like but everything is crammed in. After dropping my Nikon 10-24 lens and shattering the filter (thank goodness the lens was ok), I think it’s time for something larger.

I have 3 lenses, small flash and camera. Might like to add on another camera body.

Thinking of Lowe Pro or Think Tank. Any thoughts appreciated!

I've been using one of these for about 8 years.

Put me down as another Think Tank guy. I've taken it everywhere! Here's a shot of it (with my UHH pin!) taken at Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen!

This is a VERY individual choice!

Personally, I love the Billingham line. Heavy, waterproof canvas, well padded, with real leather trim and brass fittings. No zippers at all. They will outlive us.

The best part for me is the four point suspension and neoprene shoulder pad. The bag doesn’t twist, and you can adjust the length for one shoulder or cross carry. It’s comfortable, even when stuffed full.

They’re pricey, but worth it IMHO, at least for us. You’ve got some expensive stuff in there and nothing protects it any better. Many sizes available, just search YouTube for Billingham.

I like Domke canvas bags. A lot of carry space for the weight, and a good value I think. For your kit, an F6 might work. On longer trips I like the F1X because I can carry other things easily. Here is my F1X on its way home this am in Dulles on way back from Africa.

The strongest shoulder bags I've ever seen are the Lowepro Magnum series bags. They have a one-piece molded bottom that can take a lot of weight without sagging. I hate shoulder bags that sag under the weight of the gear inside. I have a Lowepro Magnum 200 AW bag. The Magnum 400 AW and 650 AW are even larger.

A camera bag is just that, a bag. And their are a LOT of bags out their to choose from. For me, it is just a bag to hold equipment. I tend to buy my quality bags slightly used from ebay cause I can get a great price on a great bag. The following is just an example of hundreds of quality slightly used bags available from ebay. You should check them out, maybe the bag you want is there slightly used at a great savings.

There are a number of really good products on the market. I use the LowePro Flipside 500AW. It is well made, holds a ton of stuff including several bodies, extra long lenses (my 200-500 fits nicely) and lots of extra stuff.

WE need more information, I have and use several different bags depending on what I'm carrying, where I'm carrying and how, all are non traditional , none scream EXPENSIVE CAMERA HERE, storage while traveling I favor fishing tackle bags, sturdy, somewhat waterproof, all day carry around some level of backpack usually, lighter load a messenger bag or lumbar pack, There is no one perfect camera bag, ask a woman why she has so many hand bags.

I agree. There may be other good bag makers out there, but Think Tank has served me well.

Lowepro sling bag. I have one and love it. You can carry a monopod with it. It is waterproof. Has a bazillion little compartments also to store like cards, batteries, etc.
If my camera is in my bag and I need it real quick, I can sling the bag around and get to it very easily.
They make several different sizes.

After great review, I went with the Lowepro Flipside 400AW. Thanks all for your advice!
