I shoot a lot of low light photos which I expect to be underexposed in Auto mode. However, nearly all of my photos, taken in Auto mode, appear to be slightly underexposed. Is there a setting on the camera for this?
Yes, I know I can shoot in other modes.
I don't expect my photos to be underexposed in low light or bright light.
Do you maybe have exposure compenation set? That's what happened to me one time on my sony nex-5 ... it got set to +7 by the touch screen bouncing on my stomach while the camera was on....took me awhile to figure out why my pictues were suddenly really really (really) dark....

Wow, good to know about the bumping around!
Usually by now several people would have asked for an example, so let me be first
Please click reply to this comment, and below the text box you'll see the area to attach a photo. Use the full size image, unedited, and with "store original" checked (do that before you click the "add attachment" button).
Otherwise, we are just guessing at the issue.
Thanks!
I guess this is as good as any, a snapshot like most.
There is a setting even in camera called histogram.
Expose to the right but do not clip highlights.
Similar things have happened to me. I found that best solution might be to go on a diet (but haven't tried it yet).
Twice I got a system error trying to upload the pictures. Oh well.

Was the error from your system or the server side.
Here is the error message I get...
This site can’t be reached
The connection was reset.

Is your internet connection generally slow? Is the file more than 20 MB? Try reducing 'til it's no more than 10 MB for faster upload (and over 20 may not be accepted by the site). I only said "full size" to be sure yours was large enough to produce a downloadable option.
It's over 20 MG and RAW. You say to upload it unedited. Hmmm... doesn't seem that that is possible.

OK, another mea culpa. I assumed if shooting in auto mode, you'd be shooting jpg only
Convert the raw to jpg and then post.
