What is the best way a person who lives 1,000 miles away send me pics he took on his Iphone with the best resolution? Via Facebook, or as a file attachment in an email? I plan on editing them in LR. In Facebook I can open them, view them, right click and select "save as" to my desktop. He has an 8 MP Iphone.
Thanks

Use the Apple produced card reader to transfer to a sd memory card and then stick that in your pc. Alternate: use the iCloud app in windows and iCloud on the iPhone. If you use Facebook you will lose resolution. Same with email unless you are careful!

Sorry I misread... email is your best bet, or create a shared Dropbox folder. Also, I think you can share iCloud folders.

I email my phone pictures to myself.

I've used the app

Image Transfer

Phone to phone
Phone to i-pad
Phone to 'puter

The free version limits how many to xfer in a batch, though. 5 or 6 as I recall.

I put icloud on my pc with Windows 10 Pro and its on my Mac Powerbook. The images magically show up everywhere all by themselves.

There is a workflow where the shooter uses the Lightroom app on the phone and the images automatically are imported into Lightroom Classic. There is a workflow through the Lightroom CC (cloud) app too. When I shoot with my phone, the images are in my computer when I open up Lightroom.

I used the mobile Lightroom app also. My son went to Europe and only took his iPhone. I had him log in to my Lightroom account and got to see his pictures as he took them practically.

Can't help. I know that everything is easier with Apple products which are so intuitive that things just happen magically. I unfortunately, use an android phone where we are forced to go through the very UN-intuitive process of copying (or drag and dropping) the pictures to a directory on the PC.

My wife and I use the free "Line" messaging ap. It allows you to send large photos to another phone or computer, up to 10 at a time. You can then view and download them from the ap.
