Not sure but I think it is a red tail hawk, he let me get pretty close , they usually take flight if i get within 100 feet!

I am, by no means, an expert, but I think it might be a light morph Swainson's Hawk.

Actually the yucca has already bloomed. What you see are the seed pods that have grown.
