Although it appears not too, can someone confirm that the sun moves across the sky at N° every hour. I use TPE (free desk top) to give me bearings / timings of sunset and sunrise but don't have a programme for telling me the bearing on a day/time basis.

Does anyone have (or recommend) a programme for doing this?

Stellarium and/or Cartes de Ceil or both planatarry programs that have this info and both are free.

Thanks, I'll try Cartes de Ceil. I always seem to have problems when I try to use Stellarium.

If you use an iPhone or iPad, there is an app "Sun Seeker" that can give you what you are looking for. I am not sure if it is available for the Android!

Here is the link, https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/sun-seeker/id330247123?mt=8

On an Andriod Phone "Photo Pills" is what you would google. It will help you plan Solar and Lunar photography.
