I am still working on the settings on my new D500. This is the first attempt. I think I am going to enjoy this new camera and lens.

A nice shot but a little overblown in the highlights. Adobe can fix that by turning down the highs. I shoot for the highs being the best exposure like I did in film days with slide film. The highs seem to block up quickest. In fact you could do some adjusting to the mids while you adjust the highs in Adobe. Then add a little extra contrast if needed.

Thank you for your response. I agree with you. I think I was just a little anxious to post from my new camera.

Nice, Now that shot cost about $1500, you need to take a lot more to get them down into the penny range

I filled a 1 terra drive last year with shots from 2 Nikon D7200's is that in the penny range yet? Not to mention since the first of this year I used them for about 1/2 a terra already. Do I count in the lenses I Bought last year too?

You are really going to enjoy that D500, it does everything well and is a joy to shoot with.

One tip on white flowers to keep them from blowing out is to just open a regular umbrella over them and put them in nice even shade light. We have magnolia trees around her that I photograph and I always have an umbrella in the car for rain and it also works well for flowers or outside people portraits. The white flowers won't blow out and the light is better on people so they are not squinting their eyes. Hope this is ok to add to my reply. Grandpaw
