Unfortunately, the runt of the triplets hasn't been seen in a while. Last year, the runt was killed by a competing Red Tail. There are no witnesses (this year) but I believe we have just twins now. They left a large Pine Tree and bounce from the ground to grave stones and back to tree testing out their flying skills. I hope you enjoy these. Gary

Absolutely beautiful set, my friend; nicely done.

Gary, these are beautiful shots of the young red-tails. I especially like the one where the bird is landing on the gravestone. I'm temporarily living in a house that backs up to a very nice cemetery. Last Spring, a pair of Cooper's hawks fledged from a nest in one of the large trees in the cemetery. For a couple of weeks, I watched them practice their flying around the memorial park. Throughout the day we could hear them calling to each other...lots of fun. jack

Thank you very much Jack. Cemeteries are fantastic places to see wildlife especially if it has a fresh water source! I love watching hawk fledglings trying to fly. I saw a Red Tail crash into a Pine Tree up side down once. Once I saw it was ok, I laughed out loud! Gary
