Of course, I also remember door-to-door insurance salesmen (a quarter a week) and someone we fondly referred to as "the ragman" in *his* horse drawn wagon! Oh yea, I forgot about the rag man. He came by several times a week hollering "Ol papies, bottle." He would take most anything you didn't want. Of course, as I can remember, mom and dad never had anything for him.
