Taken recently with Sony A77II and the 500 f8 Reflex (mirror) AF lens from monopod.
For some reason my camera got stuck in multi-exposure noise reduction mode - which I think takes 3 exposures and combines them - and the two images below are the results I got - not by choice - because at the time I could not figure out how to get the camera OUT of that mode ! So maybe I am learning something here ! I was fairly close, and as can be seen, the DOF was very shallow !

Thanks so much Stan ! - actually, I think the noise reduction may have helped - they are better than I thought they could be.
..
Very nice! I really like both of them.

Turned out great anyway, Larry--excellent shots.
The colors are great, even though a bit exaggerated!
Don’t you hate it when your camera seems to have a mind of its own! I like your Green Heron shot. Looks like he was really close.
Dang, I want one of those 500s... I'll even take the doughnuts that go with them.

Thank you Retired CPO - appreciate !

Thanks Earl !
I thought there might be some motion blur from slightly moving subjects from the 3 exposures so I am a little surprised
Here is something I just found regarding the Sony noise reduction :
In Multi Shot Noise Reduction mode the camera first makes a quick burst of 6 images, then process these by 2-dimensional correlation analyzis, and finally aligns the 6 images. The result will be a notable reduction of noise while retaining image details. The resulting noise well be much lower than possible with single exposures with even the most expensive low noise camera out there.
