Most of us have no issue getting it directly from the images which contains much more complete information on the the camera and lenses being used and all the shooting data then any poster is liable to include in their posts. I appreciate you security concerns, but it's unlikely that people will add most of that information separately to their posts when it is already available for anyone to see. And most of the time those with a problem have no clue what information to give us. You seem willing to look at the photographs but are not willing to read the data they contain? I find that confusing. You can also download the images to read the data, but that's more time consuming and you said you don't want to do that anyway. It looks like you're stuck if you're not willing to use the technology that's available.

Just not willing to download another person's picture to my computer. It seems the only way to find the info is to do just that. I stopped downloading things years ago unless it is a program I paid for I do not download. Last item I downloaded brought with it a virus. I have found virus or something quite similar on B&H. I contacted them and it took them almost a month to get rid of it and the first two weeks they would not believe me at their tech center. I got quite insistent. At which point they found it and removed it. According to B&H I was the only one who found it and reported it. They said thanks and I have not seen it since. It was an information gathering type of virus no one sees unless they have their virus protect set on high. Now you really know why I refuse to down load anything unless I know what it is and who sent it to me. I use the tech that I can trust. I am not here blindly reading and offering advice as a pro photographer. I can with instructions fully disassemble a camera and the re-assemble it which is similar to what I did before my move to Pro photographer. I know electronics better than most as do I know computers from the early 8086 days. I am just very cautious about any downloads that may or may not carry with them unknown to original posters that somehow it a virus or otherwise got into their computer and then was passed on. All I asked is that people who have problem's give us all the information in the original post so we do not spend so much time on guesses amongst great answers.
