She will squeal rubber in three gears.
Sticks to the road like no other car I have ever driven.

Jaguar got that one right for sure!

I envy you. I owned a ‘69 Roadster and a ‘69 2+2 but sold them both in the 1980s.

I have trouble with autocorrect. I often miss the errors it creates. Thanks for the embarrassing correction! I was not offended by the Jaguar, but, the subject was MG A!

Yeah, they were big words. Life can be tough when the electronic gadgets that do your thinking for you go on a holiday.

Loved the third image of the British Racing Green MG-A (was it a 1500 or 1600 series).
Mine through a valve rod through the head... It was going to cost so much to have the entire head assembly replaced so I bought a wrecked MG-A from a local junk yard and pulled the entire engine and transmission out and swapped that one (low mileage) with my blown engine.

I have to smile at the thought of swapping engines with anything legally on the road today.
The only "electronic" tool I used to work on my MG-A was a timing light... You could rotate those old Lucas Distributors (DM2P4's) to advance or retard the timing... The MG-A was so easy to maintain (which was a good thing for a starving college student. The most Epic Winter of my life is when the starter motor broke and I had to use the MG-A's Hand Crank to start the Beast! Boy did I draw some unique looks in the parking lots where I shopped...

How many of you clowns remember those Hand Cranks in the trunk behind the seat?
The British made an epic sports car for lowly college students living on virtually nothing but kool aid and spaghetti... My food budge was $15 a week... lol

Thanks so much for sharing your Reportage Imagery of future days past Jay...

Thanks for the kind words. Easy to get lost in the world of British cars. I still hold the thought that I will own a Rolls Royce one day. Any vintage will do.
