Watch the TV ads for the equivalent. Foods that are "made from real ingredients" and car dealers who will pay you "UP TO $7,000 more than your car is worth"! Oh - and Panera's "clean food". As opposed to...?

My favourite was for a new cleansing lotion. "Chemical free, in fact, it's 98% water". Two things wrong with that. Firstly, 98% water, is not a particularly good selling point. Secondly, everything, including water, is made up of chemicals.

Have you ever wondered why Phonetics isn't spelled with an "F" we really do have a strange language dont we?

Of all the words thst should be spoiled like it sounds, isn't phonetics pretty high on the list? I love the way most of the world spoils foto. Makes sense to me.

Where is the logic behind the silent K? Someone somewhere must have made that decision.

Please amend "spoils" to "spells." It's amazing what fat fingers and a spell checker can do.

Have you noticed no one buys a used car anymore. They are now called pre owned. Now that is classy.

I've bought both Toyota and Lexus Certified pre-owned, and that label brings quite a lot of extra factory-grade warranty to the used car buying experience. For better equipped vehicles where, for example, the central screen (and all the electronics behind it) is a 4-figure part if it needs replacement, it has seemed worth the extra cost that they tack on for the "certified" label.
