Hi, I'm John, living in So. Cal. I would never call myself a photographer but I grew up in the photographic world. My father worked for Eddie Ritz after WWII, went on to Graflex and then to Bell & Howell Canon and then B&H Mamiya. I always had cameras around the house but I never was going to go into the business myself. My career started in high tech super mini computers, wound around a little, and for the last 15 years I've been in the world of high speed video. Yep, back to iso's and F stops and such every day. As far as cameras, on the digital side I still have my old D1, I love my D2H, still use it lots. Got a small D70 about 10 years ago to take to Africa and gave it to my son when I got back. Picked up a D90 which might be old now but I love it. Don't need anything more! However I recently got into a Sony a6000 with Tamron 18-200 and it's become my every day camera, that or my little pocket Canon. As a good friend and photographer told me years ago, the small camera you have with you is a lot better than the big SLR you left at home. So, I live in the camera world as my business every day, but I'd never call myself a photographer. I'm just not an artist. Anyway, that's me!
