This is Kylee. My best guess is that she is a ”Chorkie” a cross between a Chihuahua and Yorkshire Terrier.
I adopted her from a high-kill shelter in Modesto, CA. She was literally skin and bones when I got her... just one day before her scheduled euthanasia, because no one wanted her. Animals here have two weeks: first week is for the owners to come claim, and if they don’t, then the animals have just one week to be adopted. 90% of the animals do not make it out. It’s a very sad situation.
Kylee has changed tremendously since first adopting her— she’s gained much needed weight, and has become a lively little ball of joy in our household. She’s smart as a whip, loving, and obedient— she really is the perfect dog. We feel very blessed to have her, and she gets spoiled rotten just like my other three dogs :)
I took this shot with my Fuji X Pro 2 and vintage Super-Takumar 50mm f1.4. This is the early version of this lens, and is an M42 mount with eight elements. Bokeh is excellent.
I have an affinity for vintage lenses... perhaps it's my age, but I absolutely love them... made of metal and built like tanks, plus no AF, which I love. I only use manual focus, even on my newer lenses that are AF.
The Super-Takumar is of my favorite vintage lenses :) stopped down to f4 it is very sharp while still retaining excellent bokeh.
I have about 25 different vintage lenses now, and with inexpensive adaptors I can easily use them with my Fuji.

Thank you for reaching out and saving this little creature. I can see where she would be a bundle of joy and perhaps a little spoiled. But given what she has gone through, she deserves to be a bit spoiled. You did a good thing.
You have a sweet dog, welcome to UHH indigoblues
My first impression was "Yoda".
Bless you for adopting her.

You are a very special person to do what you did for Kylee. Thanks for sharing the story. I use some vintage lenses from the 60's for my Nikon in manual mode and NO AF.
Kyle is very lucky to have you and vice versa.
LOL yep, those ears!!! They are so big and when she’s not in “alert” mode that stick straight out 🐶!!!

Awesome... I had a lot of vintage lenses years back for my Nikon D700. I ended up selling all of my Nikon gear and all my lenses, which, looking back was a dumb thing to do... as there is a Nikon to Fuji adaptor now. But, I’ve had fun “re-collecting”, if you will. Just REALLY wish I wouldn’t have sold my Nikon 50mm f1.2– that lens is magical!!!!!
