I’m incredibly interested in this camera and it promises to have a ton of pro features within a very small form factor. Are any of you currently using this camera? I’m close to pulling the trigger but wanted to get real world user experience first. The next update is supposed to unlock 4K video with the same ability to refocus after shooting due to the multi lens capture.

For those of you that haven’t heard or seen of this camera yet, here’s a link to the site where they are even offering a significant Father’s Day discount (which I’ll leverage with the wife as a pro towards buying it).

OK, I bit and looked at the website. Nice features list, but then at $2 large it should offer a lot. But I still have to carry my cell phone.

Lol! If it can actually do what it says, I don’t have an issue paying the $1600 sale price for a camera like that. You should check out the “camera” phone by RED.

I’m sure that a startup with no camera making experience will be able to deliver as promised. Just give them your credit card number.

In other news, I’ve got title to a very nice bridge, and I’m starting a kickstarter.

Sorry to sound skeptical, but I am.

I’m not trying to be rude, I’m advising the OP to wait and see before sending a dollar to this startup.

If it sounds too good to be true... well, you know the rest.

I don’t ruffle that easy so no worries (and thank you for clarifying that the intent wasn’t to be rude), But That is why I’m asking if anyone has had experience with it.

I do know how well the tech behind it performs for engineering, space, and medical uses just haven’t seen it together in this type of form factor.

I know of 1 shooter for Nat Geo who got her hands on one but she’s off on assignment right now and won’t return before the sale ends. I was just wondering if anyone here had pulled the trigger.

I thought about it until I read this PetaPixel review. Not good in low light, huge files, and the thing is quite large to slio in a picket. For now it seems like a nice novelty.

I think it’s too soon to project the quality and reliability. It’s a very hefty price, and a manufacturer who’s almost completely unknown. It might be a technological breakthrough, or it might be overpriced junk.

Be careful and take your time to get some reports. It really does sound too good to be true, and when I see that with a new product I don’t want to be the first in line.

If it’s legit, I’m sure there will soon be some reviews on legit photo sites. A quick search didn’t show any, but it sometimes takes a while to index them.

Review sites so far, and I couldn’t find any of the major websites, are “mixed” at best...

You might also search for other reviews on the internet and not just go by the sales pitch on their web site.

I do agree with what you’re saying. It sounds like they have a little way to go with things! Maybe the next gen will work out some of the issues.
