Yosemite: Halfdome from Glacier Point in B&W

These were taken in 1982 with a Pentax Spotmatic and scanned from Kodachromes. Conversion with Topaz B&W Effects. Enjoy!

All your conversion work yielded fine results. I like the second image. It has enough surrounding geography to put half-dome in perspective, yet the light on half-dome leaves no doubt who is the star of the photo. Makes me wonder what happened to the missing half. Did it just break off piece by piece and the rubble get washed away over the eons?

Thank you Greg. It is my understanding that it was carved by a glacier as was the rest of the valley and that 80% of the rubble which fell over the eons remains at the base.
