This turtle is almost identical to the common Painted Turtle.
Hand held @ 800mm about 25-30 feet away.
Canon 5Dsr - Canon 400 II DO f4 - Canon 2x III - 1/250 - f/8 - ISO @ 250.

It's about 10 feet plus or minus a few inches. 800mm super sharp shots at 10 feet make the Bee, Butterfly or other
insect species stand out and you don't have to get close enough to get stung by a Bee or Yellow Jacket.

Man, he has sharp claws! Very nice photo and clarity! I have a canon 6D and a Canon 2X II with a 100-400MM lens I never used this combination but will definitely have to after seeing your photo!
