I notice that getting a 400 pack gets the price per wipe way down........can anyone tell me if these wipes will keep for several years if not opened or do they eventually dry out regardless? I have heard great things about them and think I will try them.

If it's these, I'd be hesitant to use them on camera lenses.

Amazon price is high for 100 ct box. SAMS Club has the 200 - 225 count for $8.96

Not sure but ones I have had ( were opened and resealed) dont last forever. Makes sense they would dry out even if unopened.

I think it says Aceguarder which is a brand name and I believe the wipes are in a clear pouch that you might want to clip to your camera bag or belt.

Exactly something that Detective Monk would have loved.

I looked on B&H to see if I could tell if there are camera lens specific wipes, vs wipes for eye glasses, etc. Not sure if they are the same or different.

These are inexpensive, just as those from Amazon are. Lots of folks here apparently use these wipes per threads I have seen in the past. Anyone know of any problems??

It is for an emergency while mountain climbing. It is used to rapel a wipe to a climbing buddy during a lens emergency! The number of times I have had a piton go loose and find myself dangling off the edge of a cliff and possibly about to plummet to my death only to realize, at that very moment, I have a smudge on my googles!

Or wipe my brow - when I hit the ground I want to look cool.

Why would one buy this product from Amazon at $8.15 a box plus shipping (if you’re not a prime member)!? You can get them at your local Walmart for $5.00. Amazon’s showing a list price of $59.99 a box is just crazy!

But the $5.00 box of Zeiss wipes from Walmart (that I bought) doesn't come with a mysterious clip!

Anyone want to join me in a picket of Walmart? We can parade about shouting "WE WANT THE CLIP! WE WANT THE CLIP!"

"WHAT DO WE WANT?...."

"THE CLIP!"

"WHEN DO WE WANT IT?"

"NOW!"

Or not...

Count me in. I haven’t protested for a couple of years. Maybe we can get several hundred people and some free samples.🤔

That is a great idea. I am changing the chant!

"WHAT DO WE WANT?...."

"FREE SAMPLES!"

"WHEN DO WE WANT THEM?"

"NOW!"

Because Walmart doesn't have them for $5 in any quantity, and 200 qty pkg is $15, $29 or $51 depending on who is actually shipping them. Oh, you can get a pack of 50 in store for $3, so 100 would end up costing $6, which I suppose comes close but then you don't get the carabiner.

My local Wally World has hundreds of boxes of 100 count displayed in the optical services section for $5.00 per box ( 5 cents/wipe). They don't have the carabiner, but who cares. I've had a box of 100 for about two years that still has quite a few left in it. Since I don't use them for eyeglass cleaning, only for camera lens cleaning, 100 will last me for some time. Walmart obviously has different pricing strategies for different regions of the country for particular products. I guess I live in the cheap part of the country.
