I agree. Rocket launch from Vandenburg. I'm on a mailing list giving launch times from there, and if it is in the early evening, or early morning (just before sunrise) I go out and try to see and photograph it. I have a few pictures very similar.

I was on a flight from Chicago to Miami. The pilot told us to look out the portside windows to watch a space shuttle launch. We watched it go up and far past us. I'll never forget that. (OP)
