Playing with IR

Had a Canon T2i converted late in the winter but have not had a chance to really play with it until April. Here are the results. Still learning the focus point but got fairly close. First 3 are from Magnolia Plantation the rest from the park near the Battery in Charleston SC . The downloads look much sharper but not quite happy with the focus.

Comments welcome.

Interesting shots & looks.

I have only played with IR using settings in Lightroom and Photoshop myself at this point.

The bridge scene is my favorite.

Beautiful Shots!! I got interested in IR photography a long time ago with my Pentax film camera until I found out the process....convert my camera?? Couldn't do it with only having the one camera...can't remember the what the price was at the time, but I'm sure that was a factor too. Keep them coming...Love them!!!

Thanks Raymond - I only dabbled in IR with my film cameras. Couldn't get the hang of proper exposure and the darkroom work supporting the shooting. Jumped at the chance to convert when I replaced my T2i with a 70D. The conversion is not too expensive - around $275. Life Pixel also has cameras they have already converted for sale. Saw some decent already converted cameras on their site for between $200 and $300. Not exactly cheap but a lot cheaper than buying a new camera and converting it !

How is the Bay City/Saginaw/Midland/Flint area doing ? Haven't been in the area for a while (lived in Flint for a couple years). Always enjoy hearing from fellow Michiganders.

Been ok; no complaining here....trying to get some fishing in but other stuff keeps coming up...hopefully get up to the Au Sable within the next week or so and do some trout fishing and walks in the woods...maybe get some pictures. Let me rephrase that: Will get some pictures. :)

I have a Canon 30D converted and use it a lot, now go to post processing and have some fun. IR opens up a whole new world.
