Nikon B700 sample photo

Attached please find a sample photo taken with the Nikon B700 at full 1440 equivalent zoom. It is an OOC jpeg. F/8.02, ISO 100, 1/125th. 258mm. Feel free to download, adjust, etc. I provide it for comment on its quality as a super zoom versus other offerings. One shot does not, of course, a final analysis make. But I think it is a start. I have had this camera for a little over a year and I am pretty satisfied with what it can do--as a back up camera and a longer reach camera. I have it set to not go over ISO 800. You must practice a lot with it to find its best shooting zone.
I have a suspicion that many would do quite nicely with such a camera on a Safari--particularly for relatively stationary animal shots. Not really an action camera--though there are settings for it. The Sony RX10 offerings to 600mm look nice--but I am not sure I would not rather have the much longer reach, lower price, smaller size, etc.--particularly in a back up role.
In any case, if you are looking for a super zoom, this might be of interest to you.

It is very under rated. I shoot with a Nikon D810 with a Tamron 150-600 g2. The B700 photos are almost as good at full zoom
