Going nuts with new cameras

Sold my Canon 5D Mark IV and 5 or 6 lenses...to much to lug around. Got a Canon 6D (had one and loved it) with a Tamron 28-300 lens. Great results!!! Decided to upgrade to the Mark IV again only to find out that the Tamron lens needed a firmware upgrade to work with the Mark IV. Sent it to Canon and borrowed a friends newer Canon 70-300 to use in the meantime. Have fun setting the menu on the Mark IV... Canon was a help and I finally have the camera set for a good image. I went back and found some older 6D tests and they were 95% as sharp if not equal to the Mark IV. So now I'm deciding whether to keep the Marl IV after I get the upgraded lens back or just send it back and gat another, lighter, 6D. I think I am going crazy!!!!

The attached jpeg is from the Mark IV, cropped to about 1/2 the image, f/5.6, 1/125 sec., ISO 800, 70mm., 70-300 lens.

OMG, where were you when I was upgrading from a Mk II to the IV when you sold your first one? I looked all over the used market and they were only going for $2-300 less than new and I got outbid at the last second on ebay several times. 😒 So, on a Saturday night 2 weeks ago, after one too many Budweiser's I suffered from a major GAS attack and ordered the Mk IV & 24-105L II from Adorama, and all I can say is wowzer!! Still learning all the features, but am in love with my Mk IV! 😊

Your image is very sharp and crisp. I have nothing to say bad about your photo, only good stuff! I also am shooting with a 6D (version I) and love it.

I'm actually thinking about going back to the 6D Version one if the upgraded 28-300 Tamron isn't a whole lot better than the Mark IV. The 6D is a GREAT CAMERA! Stick with it!

My wife's a marathon runner... goes through about 6 pairs a year. The "old" ones, like this one, retire to do garden work in the dirt!
