Update on the health issue thingy.

I saw a doctor today for an update now that all the test results are through. It is lung cancer. It is terminal. As to how long, there's no way of knowing. Chemo was put forward as an option, I said I didn't want to go down that road, the Doctor said: "I think that's a wise decision in this case". I have a CT scan tomorrow, with plans of future radiotherapy to follow. Meanwhile, I get all the painkillers I want because, at this point, addiction is not going to be a concern.

I'm sorry to hear this Wellhiem. I know the road well that you are headed down. My brother passed away one year ago from the same thing. He did the chemo and it helped to keep him alive for 2 years and 9 months. But after so much, he finally passed and let it take him. My father was 86 when he had the same diagnosis and he did not opt for the chemo. It would have been tough for someone of his age so his doctors also told him that it was a wise decision. I hope you can manage the pain well and that there are many people to help you through these final weeks or months. God Bless.

Seldom at a time like this are any words adequate. Enjoy the time you have left and concentrate on the good times you have had. God Bless.
