Hyena Pups - Practicing Being Nasty

A previous post showed a Hyena pup being cute. However, like most predatory animals, practicing hunting and killing skills need to start early in life. These little guys are 'playing' at this stage, however it won't be long before it all becomes very serious. Hit 'Download' and check out the faces.

Nice! That is one reason people don't keep Hyenas as pets.

Mike, Thanks for your comment. BTW I notice in the small print that you have a Spotmatic. I expect it is an Asahi Pentax.... I have one as well - still like new in its leather case. I bought it way back in 1967 when I was posted to Singapore with the Australian Army. It still works a treat.

Thanks Dick. I was lucky to catch these guys when I visited Sabi Sands in South Africa. (2017)

Thanks Greg. I personally feel that B&W often adds intensity and drama to an image if suitable. In this case I felt that the snarling was dramatic and so B&W it is!! Again - thanks.
