I like them all! #8 grabbed my attention - I like it! #6 is my favorite.

Rose42, you are in the minority if you like #8! You must be an artist! Thanks for your input on this series Rose42.

These surfers seem to be having the "best day ever" with the swells.
Great shots. Love every one of them. Thanks for posting.

Texcaster, I'm sure you are only kidding about that statement. Everyone should be having fun when they are out shooting photos! It reflects in your photos.
Thanks Texcaster for checking this thread out and your response.

You are very welcome Flyerace.........glad to share these photos with you and my other UHH friends. When the waves are big and good, the word gets out quickly.
Thanks Flyerace for the "great shots" comment. I'm also glad that you love every one of them.

LOVED THE PICTURES AND THANKS FOR THE PM REPLY. Thought I would share (and hope you enjoy) some East Coast pictures. These were taken with a vintage (1960's) Canon 500mm reflex lens. All on manual, because auto anything back then was not even dreamed of. The lens imho is still a good piece of glass, and at $200 was a bargain that I have enjoyed. These are from Sebastian Inlet, Florida, north side, from the beach reaching out.

#8 is an eye catcher. I had to go and look several times to try to understand what was happening. I did find your answer later on in the comments; however, I am really glad you posted it. Possibly is you had shown the surfers body with the broken board, it would have appeared more realistic. In my judgement, it has the most potential interest of all the images. Your other images are very well composed and edited.

Thanks Larry for going deep into the #8 image and enjoying it the way you have. Thanks also for the nice compliment on the composition and editing of the other photos.

Great action Brent.

I would last about one second and that's if I could even get up on the board.

Thanks Stash for the "great action" comment. Don't feel bad about not being able to compete with these elite surfer athletes, it takes years of doing it to become really good.

Chris, thanks for the photos.....I like the deep barrel shots. I noticed the surfer in photos #2, 3 and 5 has his surf leash on the wrong ankle. What's with that?!?!?!?
That last photo of the surfer......with the blonde hair, looks like a "true" surf cat! You did good with your vintage lens back in the 60's. Thanks for sharing.

Hey Geoff, thanks for the compliments on the action shots. Yes, I have photographed the Hydrofoil board from the Huntington Beach Pier. They are very rare and I have only photographed that board once.

As always Brent, I can feel the power of the surf and may be even the spray in my face from your photographs. Fine work.
