I actually liked it better before straightening ,,,, made me feel like i was on the boat rocking back and forth and getting seasick !!!

Lead article in this months American Legion magazine about the Coast Guard and Aids to Navigation. Lotta work.
It's interesting, especially on East Coast inland waters, watching people driving their boats outside the marked lanes and getting stuck in less than two feet of water. Or where I am, in the northeast, (not) navigating the ten-or-so miles down a river, trying to get to open water. Its a good thing that the water is so shallow - especially when the bottom of the boat gets holed! Whatta they gonna do when the tide comes in?
