I received the above lens today. Used Glass is excellent body excellent however there seems to be a bit of side to side play on the lens. Focus ring seems a bit sloppy when turning back and forth like it needs adjustment. works fine otherwise. paid 109.00 for it. Read in another forum that this could be tightened by ajusting a couple of screws. Like the lens. Can return it but will get burned on the shipping. Will do it depending on responce from you guys.. thanks

Take it to your local camera repair shop and ask them to access/adjust the issue. The assessment should be no charge. The adjustment, if it's as simple as you stated, shouldn't be much either.

Rob, so am I. I still have the camera my folks gave me as a present when I was 5. I don't remember if it was for a birthday or Christmas present. I recently had to have it rebuilt. The shutter disintegrated.

Good luck with the lens. I hope it's a minor issue.

Super. Now you can appreciate why I carry a small set of jeweler's screwdrivers in my camera bag.
