Importing/copying images from IPhone 7+ to Lightroom 6 on an iMac: Some of the images import fine. Some are just solid green (no image). Looked around at UHH topics and a Lightroom book and haven’t found why. I am allowing duplicates because I take lots of bracketed shots. Is that somehow related? Help!

I can't answer the first part of your question, but with regard to bracketted shots, they are not considered duplicates since each bracketted image file has a distinct name. As a result, you don't need to allow duplicates in Lightroom to ensure they are imported.
I assume you're importing using Lightroom directly from your iPhone.
Try moving your photos from your iPhone to a folder on your Mac. Check the photos before importing into Lightroom. That can help isolate your problem.
The easiest way to import is via the free "Image Capture" app that comes with every Mac. Drag photos from the iPhone > Camera Roll to a folder on your Mac. Check the photos.
If the photos are not in the iPhone > Photos - Camera Roll, I use the "iMazing" app (
http://imazing.com). With iMazing you can navigate to any folder that has file sharing enabled, then drag photos to your Mac.
Example: The iPhone > "Lightroom CC" app stores its photos in the depths of the Lightroom CC > Documents folder. Unlike "Image Capture", "iMazing" will let you drag those Lightroom CC photos to your Mac.
Look at the file type. If iPhone photo is captured 'Live' mode the file type is not recognizable. I export from "Photos" on Mac as JPEG and then they open in Lightroom.

Thanks for the clarification.

Thanks, David. I will check out the mode and your suggested export approach for jpeg images.
