I was playing around waiting for Jupiter to clear the trees tonight and imaged this sequence of the jagged shadow in the large lunar crater.
Celestron C8 and Celestron CGEM, imaged with the Celestron 236C Cmos camera.

Nice detail. Whatโ€™s causing the greenish parts?

That's the great Lunar Forrest.

Yeah, I know that song, too. https://youtu.be/1gvyjJBeh50

Great image Jim!
Looks like a big toothy grin.

I got all set up, found I needed to do a factory reset, and finally got a good alignment and Polar Alignment (Nexstar style).
Then saw where the Eagle and Lagoon Nebula's would be rising 10-11ish, got on the Eagle and was watching as it was climbing through the tree.
Went and watched some TV, came back to a dropped connection.
Couldn't reconnect, so went out.
My entire sky was totally closed off by a weird Orangy-reddish marine layer.
So much for last night...

Hope you are high and dry from that flooding.

Thanks,
Probably because I still suck at stacking and processing?
Or more likely because I did this at 2 in the morning before going to bed.

Thank you Craig.
Again I had high wind down and at altitude last night that didn't settle down until Jupiter was well up.
I manage to snag the red spot just before it rotated out of view but had to use the 8" SCT.
The wind was not even letting me get decent lunar viewing with the 11".

Thank you Sonny,
Funny you should mention flooding.
Our big issue was getting 3/4" of rain and hail in less than 20 minutes.
We really needed the rain but not all at one time.

It was a white balance issue that I didnโ€™t correct properly.
I have several 1 minute videos to play with.
