I've used it; pretty much retired it when I picked up the 28-300. In my opinion it's a decent lens for the money, plenty sharp but pretty cheaply built. It's a fairly older lens they only made for a few years, so if you are looking to buy one, make sure it hasn't been used to death, they tend to wear out after 5 plus years of heavy use. I got mine used but knew the original owner. The original owner, a riding and fishing friend of mine who passed away prematurely from cancer, used it on an older film camera. His wife gave me all his camera gear and according to her, he rarely used that lens. So even though the lens was around 14 years old, it was almost as good as new. I did some research and determined it was probably worth around $250.

I use one and have found it to be quite good.
