I think this kind of hunting is merely thrill killing. For hunting to be a sport, then the hunter has to show some skill and the prey has to have a decent chance o evading you. This is similar to "hunters" who set up a keg in a tree house and wait for the deer to come to the salt lick that you have set as bait.

Seems to me that now is the time to "arm bears." We could amend the 2nd Amendment.... Perhaps the NRA would support this?

This makes me feel sick to my stomach and I know that the only reason they're even considering this is because of how it makes normal ppl feel. Wonder what their reasons are...sportsmanship?

Canned hunting seems to be popular with these types. Ted Nugent's farmed operation even has tame squirrels for the kids to shoot.

It's not hunting, it's animal control.
In my opinion, the only pre-condition to "humane" killing is that it be quick.

I’m not a hunter and IMHO this isn’t hunting.
That being said it should be a state’s rights issue.
If Alaskans don’t like it they should legislate to stop it.
If they are OK with it then a bunch of hippies in the lower 48 shouldn’t stop it.
