Hi there all,
I've been looking and reading many of the posts, and of course got suckered in because it is such a pleasure to be able to talk with other photographers with such wonderful backgrounds. I think it's a great opportunity to share ideas, knowledge and passion.
As to me, I've no real niche area. I enjoy using my nikon D3300, but have had my eye on the D7200 for some time now. I've only been doing digital photography for about 3 years, and with full time jobs and other responsibilities I don't get to shoot enough, but what I do shoot, I truly enjoy. I find I get flustered and frustrated by things I think my camera should "let me" do, only to find that the real problem is my own shortcomings! So I buy books, and read blog posts and try as much as I can to master getting a complete understanding of the digital camera. My reward, once accomplished will be upgrading to the D7200!
Oh and it turns out that I have little patience for editing, I'd rather just take the perfect pic LOL. However, I use ACD Systems Ultimate 10, and I'm also forcing myself to be patient and learn out to use that well instead of tossing out pics that could have been really good if I'd just do a bit of tidying.
I find that I really enjoy macro photography, but my current lens for that isn't so great. So that's another new toy I'll get once I'm ready.
So that's me, impatiently patient working to improve. Here's a couple of my pics if you'd like to look.

Welcome, and since you have been watching for a while, you know that a few of the folk here can be rather testy. Hope you enjoy your experiences here. Lots of info available, use the search button at the top menu space.

Welcome. You are off to a good start. You will really enjoy your D7200 when you upgrade.
