Seems like I hear or read very little about Nikon's "My MENU" option. What confuses me the most is the fact that I find myself using mine all the time. A couple of my entries
are available on the top of my camera, however it is so much easier to see them in the monitor.

Could you please take a moment and list what you have in your "My MENU." It may be of some benefit to those who might need some guidance.

Mine looks like this:

1) ISO sensitivity settings
2) White Balance
3) Virtual Horizon
4) Battery Info
5) Image Quality
6) Primary Slot Selection
7) Secondary Slot Function

My Menu contains items that I use frequently but can't remember where to find them in the menu (probably because I put them in My Menu).

IPTC
Exposure Delay
Self Timer
GPS
Interval Timer
Silent Live View (on/off)
Save/Load settings
Battery info

(The order may vary between camera bodies)

My white balance setting is always on "Auto" because I shoot raw only
I never look at the virtual horizon for some reason (probably because I'm always in a hurry)
Image quality is always raw
In some bodies primary slot is XQD. In others, they're both XQD.
Secondary slot is always backup.
ISO is changed on the top.

On my D500, My Menu contains:

ISO sensitivity
Auto ISO sensitivity control
a3 Focus tracking with lock-on
Battery info
Beep
Set picture control
Active D-lighting

On my D750, My Menu contains:

ISO sensitivity
Battery info
Beep
Set picture control
Virtual horizon
Built-in AF-assist illuminator

The menus are slightly different because I use the two cameras for sports (D500) vs general shooting (D750)

I only have a few and they are used regularly except the Non CPU Lens DATA. Need to remove that as I sold off my manual focus lenses.

Battery Info
White Balance
ISO Sensitivity Settings
Remote Control Mode
Virtual Horizon
Non CPU lens data

If my Nikons have a my menu option, I am completely unaware of it. I simply set the ISO, adjust shutter speed and f-stop to acquire the exposure I want and that's it.

CO, how did you get "Format memory card" into your My MENU? Let me know, I will definitely include it.

I am aware of it, but never felt the need to use it.

This is how I got it:
1) Select Add items in My Menu
2) Scroll down to SETUP MENU
3) Select Format memory card from the list.
