This probably the last year for our amazing Alameda egret nesting tree as it is dying and slated to be cut down this winter.

So I'm getting while the getting is good.

Nikon D500 with 200-500mm f5.6 or 300mm f4 VR PF.

No such nesting trees like that here in Davis. Hope they find another tree nearby.

The tree should stay up as long as the birds do not care!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wonderful images. So sorry to hear you'll be losing your nesting tree. 20 years ago there used to be a couple trees by a water treatment plant behind Foster City, gone now I'm guessing. I had the desire, but not the knowledge or equipment at that point. Yours are keepers. Bev
