Was slowly working a wood's edge for migrating warblers here in PA on Monday. Suddenly a head popped up and a mini stare-down began. Took two more steps to the left and a lounging kit sent a lazy glance my way. That was the moment to back out quietly and bird the other direction. Must be 10 years since I have seen red fox kits this small.

This one should get the "cute shots" of the day award. Love it!

It's likely that a week older and this twosome would have been a bit more wary of a passing traveler. They also definitely had the "feel good" factor. A pleasure to share with you all. Thank you all for commenting.

Jan, it is like the hooded warbler you captured SO well... timing is the issue, and above all, we cherish "nature" moments. With these kits, it was like the intention to capture any human baby... with a soft essence.

"Babies" are attention grabbers, Photophile, and most of us get a Mother Nature "Pinch Me" moment when we least expect it. "Appealing" is the perfect word. Thank you.
