Believe good reputation, but salesman steered me to items I should have looked elsewhere. I should have known better, won't doe that again and ain't go back.

I live in the Minneapolis area and have been doing business with National Exchange for over 50 years and have NEVER had a bad experience. They helped me get started in this hobby by giving me expert advice in cameras, darkroom equipment, projectors etc and are a third generation business.
I purchased a camera from them in November 2017 and returned to their store in Golden Valley in early May after a winter in Florida with the camera. I told them I just wasn’t happy with the quality of my photos. Their regional manager,
Julie spent about 1 1/2 hours with me and after taking numerous photos with my camera, an identical camera and a couple of upgrades she offered to take my camera (and all the accessories, filters, lenses hood etc) back and gave me a full refund credit. WOW!
Julie then spent more time helping me pick out a different camera that I’m very happy with now. She just couldn’t have been better in any way.
They carry a complete line cameras, accessories, photo processing, classroom courses and their counter help is second to none.

Bought a lens from them, turned out they had mistakenly misrepresented it, called and they took it back without a problem, paid the return shipping and gave a full refund. Will deal with them again when the occasion arises.

I live local to their area and buy from them frequently. Other than the high MN state tax along with other local sales taxes they are very competitive in pricing. I don't hold it against them that the state they do business in is one of the highest states for taxes.
