Just messing about.
With a bit of PP.
I know it's a bit controversial. But, that's never stopped me before.

It is that. Finished off in Topaz B&W Effects.
That's a whole lot of tweaking. I'm more comfortable with no 1.

So was she. I wouldn't normally go that far. And, I wouldn't normally show the subject the original. But it's a friend and I pointed out that the end result wasn't supposed to be of her as such. Just an exercise.

I think it's a case of apples and oranges. They're two completely different things and can't really be compared. If you were going to have photos of friends and family on your sideboard, then #1 would be the one to go for. On the other hand, if you wanted a picture on your wall purely as a decoration, then #2 may be more appropriate if that's the sort of thing you wanted. Of course, it would probably come across as slightly creepy if I had it on my wall given that she's a friend of mine.
Not keeping too badly thanks for asking Doddy. I'm having to make a few changes, for example, I'm doing a lot more online shopping for everyday items like food and household cleaning stuff as I get a bit short of breath when out shopping. I'm not making a hermit of myself, but, if I'm going to be limited to what I can do, then I plan to limit myself to the stuff I want to do. That doesn't include walking around and queuing up in supermarkets. As far as the pain's concerned, it's getting there. The main problem is first thing in the morning after the stuff I took the night before has worn off. But, I've found that by keeping a syringe loaded up with the faster acting stuff next to the bed, I can take that straight away and then just wait for it to kick in before getting up. I should probably say at this point, that there's no needle involved. Emptying a syringe into your mouth is a lot easier than using a measuring spoon. Still not sure of the original cause, so lots of ongoing tests. My friends and family have been amazing, particularly my two daughters. In fact, I'm having to ask them to back off on occasion because I feel it's important for me to establish what I can do for myself. All in all, it could be a lot worse.
She looks worse! There wasn't a squint in the original - poor lady.

It seems to be doing quite well in the competition it's in.

Thanks Thom. I've been better, but it could be a lot worse.
