No interest in the subject matter, may have been more interesting if the barber had been in focus, just my thoughts.

Could be used as a promo for the fund raiser. As it stands, it would be only of interest to the fellow standing or the shaved target.

I agree that the barber would be a focal point of interest when identifiable either as static or in focus within the blurred image.

I've always been a fan of George Costanza.

a tiny bit interesting because the shaver is out of focus but the interest fades quickly because the shaver is out of focus. If that makes any sense. I think i'm trying to say is that it's a little too out of focus. Maybe if we could see his face, where he is concentrating and his hand be out of focus, maybe that would work. As shown though doesn't work. Sorry.

It's OK for documenting the shave but that's about it.

I agree that having the “shavee” in focus would help. It’s a good enough idea to to work on again when the opportunity presents itself. A darker back ground behind the barber might help and experimenting with rear curtain flash to freeze the barber at one point might also hold interest.
Stick with it!

Never heard of a shave-athon! Ha! Took me a minute to realize that blur was the person doing the shaving—and not a stack of cushions! Is speed a fun factor of the event? Then the blur makes sense—but seems a bit too blurry. Barely perceptible as a person. Too bad the onlooker has such a blah expression. So detached from the scene that he does not contribute to ‘the story.’ The subject himself has an unreadable expression, too. Is he having fun? Or regretting his decision to participate! And the bright colorful thing to the left—distracting and unrecognizable. Overall just too much going on and too much work to sort it out. A shot tighter on the two key subjects might have been more effective. Maybe in front of ‘victim’ and shooting up a little? Or barber’s hands and the top of ‘victim’s’ head? Remember to move around your subject to get a variety of angles and composition options.
