Who is the last President you most admired... and why
Let's see if we can stay on point and get a little better understanding of who we respected most and why. Please no attacking the opinion of other Attic members! All I'm asking for is the one thing about the most recent man you respected. I'll start:
George Bush Sr. - best career preparation (war hero, UN ambassador, CIA Director, and 8 years of Vice Presidential experience) and he used that experience to lead the nation in a way that other countries willingly followed (coalition for Operation Desert Shield; the first Gulf war).
President Kennedy, I was young and we felt like he represented the future of America. My Dad couldn't stand him and my Mom thought he was wonderful.

I agree with you about Bush Sr. I had many disagreements with him on policy, but I always respected and admired him.
